Adult ESL Class Registration Information

Register for Adult English as a Second Language Classes
*Classes are now year long with only one registration fee*
Registration is open on August 24 & 25 for Returning Students and Troy Residents
Registration will be open on August 26 & 27 for all.
Registration closes at 9:00 p.m. on August 27.

You are registered if you "check out" and pay your $40 registration fee. You should receive a confirmation email after registering.
Class Information
- Four levels of ESL classes are offered: Beginning, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, and Advanced ESL.
- Each student will be tested and placed at their appropriate class level, according to the test score.
- You do not have a place in class if you to not register and take the test.
- Classes fill up quickly.
- We have no late tests scheduled.
- Students are expected to have good attendance or they will be dropped from enrollment - DO NOT REGISTER IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND YOUR CLASSES
- Classes are free - non-refundable registration fee is $40
Class Dates & Times
All classes are in-person. There are no online classes. You must attend BOTH days of your class. Classes are now year long with only one registration fee of $40 for the year. (There is an extended winter break with no classes between December 18 and January 12.)
Day Classes:
- Monday and Wednesday mornings, 9:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., September 14 - May 5
- Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 9:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., September 15 - May 6
Night Classes:
- Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m., September 15 - May 6
Classes take place at Troy Continuing Education, 1522 E. Big Beaver Rd., Troy, MI 48083. Park and enter on the WEST side of the building.
Mandatory Test Information
Tests will take place on the following dates and times:
- Monday, August 31 at 9:30 a.m. - In-person ESL testing for all returning students and Troy residents.
- Monday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m. - In-person ESL testing for all returning students and Troy residents.
- Tuesday, September 1 at 9:30 a.m. - In-person ESL testing for all
- Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00 p.m. - In-person ESL testing for all
- Wednesday, September 2 at 9:30 a.m. - In-person ESL testing for all
Testing and classes take place at Troy Continuing Education, 1522 E. Big Beaver Rd., Troy, MI 48083. Park and enter on the WEST side of the building.
