Troy School District preschools are designed to foster children’s individual interests and natural desire to play and discover, while acquiring skills and knowledge needed to become familiar with the world. The Troy School District preschool programs are designed to promote success when students enter kindergarten and beyond.
P.A.L.—Preschool for Active Learning
P.A.L. is a half day developmental, play-based preschool program. Classes are offered morning or afternoon for children 3 & 4 years old.
T.O.T.S.—Tots of Troy Schools
A full day developmental, play-based preschool program, combined with extended day child care for children ages 3-5. T.O.T.S. is open during most school breaks and has a weekly summer camp programs too.
Building Blocks
Building Blocks is a full day hands-on preschool. Building Blocks is for children who will be 4 years old by December of the current school year, and who are expected to attend kindergarten the following fall. Building Blocks follows the Troy School District calendar.
Great Start Readiness Program (G.S.R.P.)
The Great Start Readiness Program (G.S.R.P.) is a free preschool program for at-risk or developmentally delayed four-year olds. To qualify for the program, children must be 4 years of age by December 1, 2011 and must possess at least two at-risk factors.
